A free Father's Day card!

Father's Day is approaching fast and furious! We're planning an informal bbq at our place to celebrate all the wonderful dads in our lives. The kids are feverishly making cards and gifts for my husband and I'm feverishly thinking on what to get my dad, the man who claims he has everything.

For everyone who's celebrating everything "DAD" on the 21st, we're doing a give away!

Respond to this post on the most practical gift that any dad would love, we'll send our Father's Day Colour in card to you, with our compliments! Color it in, and give it to dad, it will be one of the best gifts ever ;)

*please be sure to also email us at studio [at] 9spotmonk.com so we have your mailing address after you submit your comment. Emails need to be in by Sunday, June 14th. We're mailing everything out first thing Monday.

We look forward to all the gift ideas!!

If he likes tools and working in the yard then the Leatherman pruners are pretty rad. It's like a gajillion tools in one. http://leatherman.com/pruners/

All the dads in my life are whizzes in the kitchen (or at least over a grill), and an awesome chef's knife is always welcome. Especially those funky Japanese ones.

Love your cards!

Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I think this handy little gem couldn't be MORE perfect for Dad!

I am making my dad chocolate chip cookies and ch-ahhhh-colate (as he likes to say!) brownies. I will bake them early in the morning and send them fast mail.

We don't do practical for Father's Day, we like to celebrate the relationship between my daughter and her dad,so she picks things for them to do together. At age 4, she wanted to give him a football so they could play catch, this year it is a small scale vintage toolkit so they can build things together. Practical for my own dad, I go for Amazon gift card, easy, he gets a shopping spree and always can get something he needs. Thanks for the card, it looks lovely!

My husband would most enjoy a night out playing poker with his friends. How do you wrap that one?

One year we found a cooking school that gives beer & food classes here in NYC. We gave him a class with a couple of friends and they tasted 8 different beers and had appetizer size portions of wonderful food (each class had a different theme: Indian, BBQ, etc.).. It was a one evening class but was very much appreciated and enjoyed!

most practical, and fun for everyone to enjoy: a new bbq grill! Second fave: flip video camera, so he can document his great day!

I am going to have my father in law over for brunch to celebrate as a family, give my husband and dada of our two boys a non-stick pan (he likes to cook!) and then arrange a surprise date night for the evening. Since he's on a business trip this week, it'll be great to get our cards and surprises lined up for him! - J. Wong

I don't know about "most practical," but we've bought a tool box that he needed, and the 4 year old has a shelf to fill with drawn hearts, the 6 year old is making origami hearts for her section, and I'll be knitting hearts to fill in the biggest space. He'll have a toolbox full of love!

For the dad in our family, a nap and a few hours to play his bass is the best gift we can give!

A great gift for dads would be a good hammock -for nice relaxing naps outside!

in our family, all of the dad's love their coffee makers :) He'll be getting a new one since ours is on its last brew.

I think the most practical would be a gift card to his favorite restaurant. Since me and my sister are "grown up" (out of the house) we rarely see my dad and I know he would love to take us all out to dinner. The gift card would be a great excuse for us to come together.

A blurb photo book with photos of dad and his kiddos is always a hit in our family!

We're making one of those cube puzzles. Each side will be a drawing or photo of the kids. Dad can stand it up to display different artwork or photos depending on his mood. He's going to love it!
